So as we’ve established, you can’t “think” your way into your subconscious but you can hack your way in. In the previous post we covered the “Question Method”. See below if you missed it:

Another way you can do it is using the “Sleep Hack”. Yes, you can reprogram your subconscious in your sleep. We all know that sleep is important for processing the information we’ve taken in during the day and for allowing our brain to rest. More accurately, it’s as we’re entering sleep and coming out of it that the magic happens.

Your brain actually operates with 5 different types of brain waves, the difference between them is their speed.

The fastest is Gamma, followed by Beta, Alpha, Theta then Delta in decreasing order of speed. Gamma is for concentrating and problem solving, Beta is when your mind is busy and active, Alpha is when you are resting and more reflective. Delta is when you’re sleeping and dreaming. What we’re interested in is your Theta waves. These are the waves we can utilise to reprogram our subconscious mind.

Theta waves occur just as you’re about to fall asleep and just as you’re waking. They can also occur when you’re in a very relaxed state, which is why they can also be accessed through meditation.

When you’re in the Theta state, your mind is most open to suggestion, it’s the state you can best implant ideas into your subconscious. This is why accessing this state is a key aspect of hypnosis and hynotherapy. When ideas and thoughts are planted just before falling asleep this is then processed while you sleep. They can then be reinforced when coming out of sleep. Anything you learn or think about is also better retained and consolidated through
